Position Overview
We are looking for an organized, career oriented and self-motivated Project Coordinator based out of both our downtown Toronto and Burlington offices and sites to assist the Project Manager in planning, executing and managing high profile real estate construction projects. The Project Coordinator will be assisting the efforts of construction team members and third-party trades and consultants. You will get insight into the intricate operations and execution of high profile real estate development projects in one of the most innovative and fastest growing companies in the industry. You will be responsible for assisting in managing, monitoring and shaping award winning communities from initiation to completion. Some of your responsibilities will include: • Assist with managing the construction project to ensure QA standards are met and delivered on time • Assist with tendering the project to trade contractors • Assist with negotiating with vendors, suppliers and subcontractors • Assist with maintaining and monitoring the budgets • Assist with creating, monitoring and updating project schedules and updating weekly progress plans • Assist with creating, monitoring and updating look ahead schedules • Ensuring that Adi's quality of work is upheld • Assist with monitoring the progress of the project and report as required • Assist with tracking/logging daily site activities • Assist with reviewing and negotiating changes to scope of work, reviewing and managing claims for extra costs from trade contractors • Ensuring that the health and safety project plans are implemented • Assist with coordinating the trades and contractors and ensuring that they are performing as required • Assist and coordinate permit procurement • Assist with collaborating with design team and participate in construction coordination meetings • Assist with shop drawing review and coordination • Assist with document control and coordination • Assist with supervising site staff as required • Assist with preparing monthly project reports • Maintaining all lines of project communications • Ensuring the site office is organized and kept to the highest possible standards • Ensuring construction documents are organized and maintained • Liaise with the executive team as necessary • Assist with running and producing minutes for all construction and coordination meetings Compensation packages includes base salary plus bonus and full benefits
Company
• Must have at least 3 or more years experience in construction as a project coordinator • Have a bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Business, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, or Construction Management or equivalent is a MUST (MBA and M. Eng. Preferred) • Must have strong take off/estimating skills • Must understand building methodologies, materials and science • Strong with Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and must have strong knowledge of MS project • Have all necessary certifications like Working at Heights, WHIMIS, First Aid and Basics of Supervision • Must have taken courses in project management or have PMP designation • Possess thorough knowledge in designing and building multifamily construction projects • Can read construction working drawings including and not limited to architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and landscape drawings • Have a thorough understanding of both high rise residential and commercial projects • Must have strong budgeting and scheduling skills and aptitude with scheduling software and project management software is a must • Are a strong negotiator • Possess excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills • Are enthusiastic, energetic and self-motivated • Are a team player and possess leadership skills • Are concise and detailed oriented and can manage your own time • Must possess strong leadership, organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks within a demanding fast paced environment • Have strong customer focus, emotional intelligence and ability to manage through change. • Have a strong technology background with experience with computers, tablets and mobile devices and cloud-based applications • Have strong problem-solving skills • A valid G driver's license, access to a vehicle and the ability to travel to various office locations.
